Everything you need to know about ordering a canvas from us. Tap a question to see the answer.
Choose your canvas, then pick a size, an edge design and a frame depth. Upload your photo, tick the box if you would like a free design preview before we print, and add it to your basket.
Once you have ordered, one of our team checks your photo and the crop before anything is printed.
The original, full-size photo from your phone or camera gives the best result. Photos that have been sent through WhatsApp, Facebook or text messages are often shrunk along the way, so they may not print as sharply on a large canvas.
You can upload JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF and PDF files.
A real person checks every photo before it goes to print. If yours is too small or blurry for the size you picked, we will get in touch to suggest a smaller size or a better copy of the photo, so you are never surprised by a fuzzy canvas.
Sometimes. Every canvas size has its own shape, and if your photo is a different shape (most phone photos are), a little has to be trimmed from the top and bottom or the sides to fit. With the Stretched edge, part of the picture also wraps around the sides of the frame.
One of our team checks the crop on every order so nothing important is cut off. To see exactly how it will look, tick the free design preview and we will email it to you before we print.
Of course. Email your original photo to [email protected] and tell us the size you have in mind. We will let you know whether it will print well and suggest the best size for it.
Check that your photo is a JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF or PDF file and smaller than 50MB. If it still will not upload, try another browser or device, or a different Wi-Fi or mobile connection.
If that does not help, place your order and email the photo to [email protected] with your order number, and we will add it for you.
Yes. Add the Photo Editing option when you order and our designers will make minor retouches: enhancing colour, lightening or darkening the image, removing red eye and cleaning up dust and scratches.
If you need something more involved, such as removing a person or changing the background, get in touch before you order and we will let you know what is possible.
Yes. Our photo collage canvases combine several photos on one canvas, and our split canvases spread one photo across several panels. We always send a design proof for these before we print.
Yes. Choose the size and options for your first canvas, upload its photo and add it to your basket, then do the same for each of the others. Everything arrives together as one order.
Only if you own the photo or have the owner's permission to print it. If you are looking for an image, free libraries such as Unsplash and Pixabay have lots of beautiful photos you are allowed to use.
We will not print images that are extremely poor quality, or images that are pornographic, illegal or discriminatory.
A design proof is a free preview of your canvas that we email to you before we print it. You can check the crop and layout, ask for changes, or cancel for a full refund if you are not happy.
Tick the box "Would you like to see a design preview before we print your canvas?" on the product page. It is free.
For photo collages, split canvases and heart collage canvases, a proof is always included, so you do not need to ask.
Open the email we send you and follow the link to view your proof. If you are happy, approve it and we will start making your canvas. If you would like any changes, just reply and let us know.
We start making your canvas as soon as you approve the proof, so the sooner you reply, the sooner it is on its way.
Your order goes into production after a short processing window of 2–4 hours. During that time you can still contact us to make changes or cancel for a full refund.
We make canvases from A5 (around 15 x 21cm) right up to 60 x 40" (around 150 x 100cm), in square, portrait, landscape and panoramic shapes. Sizes are listed width x height in inches, with the approximate size in centimetres.
Can't see the size you need? Get in touch and we will do our best to help.
Measure the space on your wall first. As a guide, a canvas above a sofa, bed or sideboard looks best at around two-thirds of the width of the furniture below it.
Not sure? Tick the free design preview when you order and our designer will recommend the best size for your photo.
All edge designs are free.
If there is important detail near the edge of your photo, such as faces or text, choose Mirrored, Black or White.
The Slim 2cm frame is a classic, lightweight choice that suits most rooms. The Premium 4cm frame is twice as deep, so the canvas stands further out from the wall and has more of a gallery look. It is a popular choice for larger canvases.
We print with fade-resistant pigment inks on premium poly-cotton canvas, then stretch it by hand over a solid pine frame in our Milton Keynes workshop.
Yes. Every canvas arrives stretched and ready to go on the wall. If you would also like the fixings, add the hanging kit option when you order.
Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and cleaning sprays, and try not to hang it in strong direct sunlight or in a damp spot, such as right above a radiator or in a bathroom.
A split canvas takes one photo and spreads it across several separate canvases, which hang side by side as a set. It is a striking way to fill a large wall, and a great choice for landscapes, panoramic views and wedding or family photos.
Choose from 2, 3, 4, 5 or 9 panels. Some designs use panels that are all the same size, such as three tall panels side by side or nine squares in a grid. Others use panels of different heights for a more modern, staggered look.
For each panel. For example, "3 x (40 x 80cm)" means three panels that are each 40cm wide and 80cm tall. The finished width on your wall is the panels added together plus the gaps you leave between them.
Sets start from two 20 x 20cm panels and go up to three 80 x 100cm panels, which fill more than two metres of wall once hung. The sizes available depend on the design you choose.
Need something different? Get in touch and we will see what we can do.
A split canvas covers a lot of wall, so the original, full-size photo gives the best result. Wide photos with plenty going on across the frame work especially well.
One of our team checks every photo, and if yours is not sharp enough for the size you chose, we will get in touch before we print.
Not if we can help it. Our designer positions your photo so faces and important details sit on a panel rather than across a gap. If your photo makes that tricky, we will suggest another layout.
Yes. We always email you a free design proof for split canvases, showing exactly how your photo falls across each panel. You can ask for changes, and we only print once you have approved it.
We recommend Mirrored, Black or White. With the Stretched edge, a strip of your photo wraps around the sides of every panel, so a little of the picture is lost at each split. Mirrored keeps the whole picture on the front while still giving printed sides.
Split canvases are made from one photo. If you would like several photos together, take a look at our photo collage canvases.
Each panel is its own canvas and hangs on its own fixing. Start with the middle panel at eye level, then work outwards, using a tape measure and a spirit level to keep the gaps even and the panels lined up.
Tip: cut paper templates the size of each panel and tape them to the wall first, so you can see the layout before making any holes.
A gap of around 3–5cm between panels suits most rooms. Smaller gaps keep the picture reading as one image, while larger gaps make more of a feature of the split. Whatever you choose, keep every gap the same.
We print, hand-stretch and dispatch your set within 3–5 working days of you approving your design proof, so reply to the proof email as soon as you can. Fast-track dispatch is available at checkout if you are in a hurry.
It depends on the design. Our collages hold anything from 2 to 37 photos, from simple side-by-side layouts to square grids and heart-shaped collages. The number of photos is shown in each design's name.
Upload them on the product page when you order. On designs where uploading is optional, such as our heart collages, you can send your photos after ordering instead: email them to [email protected], send them on WhatsApp (07376 609038), or use the upload link we email you once your order is placed. Please include your order number.
No. Our designer crops and arranges each photo to fit its space in the layout. Just send the original photos, the bigger the better, and we will do the rest.
Yes. Some designs have a separate upload for the centre photo. For the others, tell us which photo you would like where when you send them, and we will follow it. Otherwise our designer will arrange them so the collage looks balanced.
Many of our collage designs have a text box for a name, date or short message. We print your text exactly as you type it, so please check spelling and dates carefully. You will also see it on your design proof before we print.
Yes. We always email you a free design proof for photo collages, so you can check the layout and ask for changes. We only print once you have approved it.
Often, yes. Each photo is printed smaller in a collage than it would be on its own canvas, so older or smaller photos usually look better than you might expect. We check every photo, and if one is too blurry to print well, we will let you know and you can send a different one.
Choose a design with fewer photos, or get in touch and we will suggest the best option for the photos you have.
We print, hand-stretch and dispatch your collage within 3–5 working days of you approving your design proof. The sooner we have all your photos and your approval, the sooner it is on its way.
A panoramic canvas is long and narrow, usually two to three times as wide as it is tall. It is perfect for wide views such as landscapes, beaches and city skylines, and for big group photos.
Our panoramic canvases start at 24 x 8" (around 60 x 20cm) and go up to 60" (around 152cm) wide, in a range of widths and heights.
Yes. Phone panoramas are usually very large files, which makes them ideal. Send the original from your phone's photo gallery, not a screenshot or a copy that has been sent through WhatsApp or social media, as those are often shrunk.
You can, but a normal photo is much taller than a panoramic canvas, so quite a lot of the top and bottom will be cropped off. Our team checks every crop, and the free design preview shows you exactly what will be included before we print.
Panoramic canvases are a great fit above a sofa, bed or sideboard, along a hallway or stairway, or anywhere a standard canvas would leave empty space at the sides.
For wider canvases, use two fixings spaced apart rather than one in the middle, so the canvas stays level and secure. A spirit level and a second pair of hands make it much easier.
Our large canvases start at around 80 x 60cm and go up to around 150cm wide, in landscape, portrait, square and panoramic shapes.
Mark out the size on your wall with masking tape or paper before you order, then step back and look at it from across the room. As a guide, a canvas above furniture looks best at around two-thirds of the furniture's width.
Most photos taken on a modern phone or camera in good light print well at large sizes, as long as you send the original, full-size file. Screenshots and photos saved from social media or messaging apps are usually too small.
A real person checks every photo, and if yours is not sharp enough for the size you chose, we will get in touch to suggest a smaller size before we print.
Place your order, then send the photo to [email protected] using a free file-sharing service such as WeTransfer or Dropbox, with your order number. We will add it to your order.
For large canvases we recommend the Premium 4cm frame. The deeper edge stands further out from the wall and gives a big canvas the presence it deserves.
Small marks, dust and dull colours are much easier to spot on a big canvas. Our Photo Editing option covers minor retouches such as enhancing colour, adjusting brightness, removing red eye and cleaning up dust and scratches.
Use two fixings spaced apart and make sure they suit your wall: wall plugs or plasterboard fixings for hollow walls, and screws rather than nails for heavier canvases. Hanging a large canvas is much easier with two people and a spirit level.
Every canvas is packed by hand in protective packaging and a sturdy box. If anything does arrive damaged, contact us within 30 days and we will repair or replace it free of charge.
Choose a design and a size, then tell us the song title, the singer and the year. Add names, a date or a short message in the other text box, and upload a photo if your design includes one. Our designer sets it all out and emails you a free proof to approve before we print.
No. Just give us the song title, singer and year. If you would like only certain lines, such as the chorus or the words from your first dance, let us know when you order.
Most people add names and a special date, such as "Sarah & James, 14th June 2025", or a short message. We print your text exactly as you type it, so please check spelling and dates carefully.
Yes, many of our designs include a photo. Upload it when you order, or send it afterwards by email to [email protected] or on WhatsApp (07376 609038) with your order number.
Yes. We email you a free design proof showing your lyrics, text and photo laid out on the canvas. Check it carefully, ask for any changes, and we will print once you have approved it.
The more words in your song, the bigger the canvas needs to be for them to be easy to read. For a full song we recommend 60 x 40cm or larger. Smaller sizes suit a chorus or a few favourite lines.
It is one of our most popular gifts for weddings, engagements and anniversaries, especially with the couple's first dance song. Canvas is also a lovely choice for a second wedding anniversary, which is traditionally the cotton anniversary.
